BUG appeals for help and support - 21/07/2010
Bradford Urban Garden (BUG) is a temporary green space on the site of the proposed Broadway Shopping Centre in the centre of Bradford, developed by Bradford arts charity Fabric in partnership with Bradford Council, developers Westfield, and Yorkshire Forward.
Now the BUG is open, Fabric is working with Bradford artists, creative and community organisations to ‘animate’ the 3½ acre site with artwork, activities and events and is inviting local businesses to get involved in a range of opportunities including:
· holding company events such as picnics on the BUG
· sponsoring schools to create images for the new site hoardings
· supporting live music, film, theatre and dance events
· participating in or sponsoring the building of new features such as planters, raised beds and arches enhancing the site entrances
If you would like to support the Bradford Urban Garden or would like to find out more about how you can get involved please contact Gideon Seymour at Fabric on 01274 370 291 or email gideon.seymour@creativebradford.co.uk
