Young Chamber

Connecting Schools and Businesses

The Bradford Young Chamber programme helps develop enterprising minds amongst school children and prepare them for the world of work. We work in secondary schools, creating a Young Chamber Council to plan and implement enterprise activities. We also find opportunities for businesses to get directly involved, helping them to create their future workforce.

The Young Chamber Council works with the Be Involved Young Chamber Coordinator to develop relationships with the local business community and then deliver enterprise activities. Employers can provide students with a real understanding of the opportunities available and the skills, aptitudes and attitudes of mind that business needs. The possibilities are endless…

  • Help pupils plan and run a fashion show
  • Work with young people to produce a feature film
  • Provide marketing expertise to students running a small business
  • Take a group of students to see how your business operates first hand

…and many many more!

The flexibility of the Young Chamber programme means there will always be an opportunity to suit you, whatever resources you have available.

Why get involved?

Working with groups of students can be a richly rewarding experience. Young Chamber programmes are designed to be fun and challenging for both the pupils and the businesses. Businesses get involved for a wide range of reasons:

  • Opportunities to develop management, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Improved recruitment and retention of quality staff
  • Enhanced reputation with customers and the wider community
  • Development of your future workforce
  • Creation of new networks

Young Chamber is an opportunity to share your expertise and to gain new insights and perspectives on your own business. Its fun, challenging, rewarding and an excellent opportunity to give something back. What are you waiting for?

So what is the next step?

If you are interested in being involved in the Young Chamber programme or you have any queries about the programme then please contact:
